Intel MeeGo to power GM, BMW cars

NEW DELHI: MeeGo is coming to BMW, GM and many other car brands. GENIVI Alliance has announced the open source operating system (OS) MeeGo as the basis of their next reference release for In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI).
GENIVI is a non-profit industry alliance with founding members BMW Group, Delphi, GM, Intel, Magneti-Marelli, PSA, Visteon and Wind River.
MeeGo is a brand new species of OS. It's a result of collaboration between Nokia and Intel.
