Problems with Sports Seats?

I borrowed my cousin's 525d Touring one time and I felt really uncomfortable sitting on the sport seat. I thought I was the only one with this difficulty, but he says he has a hard time on it as well, especially during long drives. The backrest doesn't have any shoulder support and it causes the strain on the shoulders and neck area. Is there anything we could do about it or do we just have to replace his seats with the standard ones? I'm going shopping for bmw floor mats during the weekend and I need to know the answer soon so I could go and put the seats together with my order.
